The New York City Acupuncture Center was founded in 1984 by Gui Tang Wang, a licensed acupuncturist who has been practicing the art of healing for nearly five decades. Gui Wang earned his degree from Shanghai China’s medical school where he completed a dual-path program in Western and traditional Chinese medicine. This unique educational background, along with many years of experience, is what makes Wang especially effective in his practice.
In treating his patients, Dr. Wang adopts a holistic approach, always trying to find the root cause of illness. He focuses on the whole person and helps patients to adjust their lifestyle, diet, sleeping habits, exercise routine and mental state. Most importantly, Dr. Wang treats everyone who comes to see him in a friendly, compassionate and responsive manner. The center offers a variety of services, including acupuncture, electronic acupuncture, cupping, and Tuina (traditional Chinese massage) for a wide range of conditions.
